Tips for Photo Editing
Image editing can seem very complicated but it is
actually just a matter of knowing what you want your picture to look
like and having the software to do it.
Here are some tips for photo editing no matter the type of software
1. Always safe a copy of the original picture before
doing any editing. If you get yourself into something that isn't what
you want, you can always start over again.
2. Have confidence in yourself. After editing,
print the edited picture and the original and do a comparison. You can
even have someone else do that for you. With the printed pictures in
front of you it is much easier to see the difference and make sure that
the changes you made were for the better.
3. Be careful resizing your photos. You can
actually damage the picture by resizing using the auto functions that
come with editing programs. Change the DPI resolution instead and
then crop if needed.
4. Remember who is going to look at the picture. If
it is for something of no importance, don't spend alot of time
editing. Fix the minor flaws like the color contrast and the size and
then leave it alone. If they are going to be printed large like an 8 x
10 or 13 x 20, take extra time to smooth out all of the flaws and
blemishes.
